Information for Tenants

 

Plymouthhomes4let is currently taking all tenants referrals from two authorised routes:

 

Singles and Couples with no dependants

Plymouth Access to Housing (PATH) – They can be contacted at Midland House in Plymouth on (01752) 305955. PATH will contact an interview and you will be required to provide certain forms of identification.

 

Families

Housing Advice Team – They can be contacted at Midland House in Plymouth on (01752) 305984

 

It will be a requirement that any referrals from the above two routes will be asked to provide certain references. This will normally be a past landlord reference and employer reference. Any prospective tenant with a history of anti-social behaviour or rent arrears will be considered on their individual circumstances.

 

Required Monies

To access private rented housing through PlymouthHomes4let the following monies are required at the start of the tenancy:

 

One month’s rent in advance – Can be accessed through a crisis loan available via the social fund or in certain circumstances the council will consider loaning this to you.

One month’s deposit – Will be given as deposit bond through both referral routes. No exchange of monies takes place but a written guarantee to PlymouthHomes4let will be provided by either PATH or the housing advisory service.

Tenancy

The tenancy provided will be a six monthly renewable assured short-hold tenancy agreement. You will have security of tenure for a six month period, which is renewable by both parties, on condition that you adhere to terms and conditions within your tenancy.
